A Unique Beauty Product

>> 10/31/2009

Holiday season is just around the corner, I know that many of you are now in search for some gifts that you would want to give to your friends and relatives. I have done my lists now but still do lack gifts for my female friends. Since they are so into mineral make ups nowadays, I am planing to just give them makeups. While doing the search for the makeups, I stumble upon this cute Personalized Lip Balm over the net and it really caught my attention. Very unique isn't it?

All you have to do is to submit a digital photo of you and use the lip balm sample as a guide-avoid extra background images. Just be sure to submit the correct of names, wedding dates and messages to your guests. This is a unique and nice items very good for corporate giveaways and for promos too. I would definitely suggest this one to my boss as he was asking me last week to canvass for some nice giveaways that we will be offering to our customers and clients this holiday season, we have been giving the same planner and calendars for the past two years and this new product would definitely give delight to our customers.

On Car Allowance

>> 10/30/2009

It was six months ago when our employer decided to hire another employee that will do all the collections every Fridays since the increase of job orders have made the other technician which also act as a collector/messenger became so busy that he could not attend to collect on time. Added to that is the increase of demand on the part of our customers who asks for a pick up on their unit of computers and have it repaired due to hardware and software problems. Plus the delivery of items is really so time consuming that there are instances where an on spot delivery must be done. Becoming too busy and absorbed with the mobile job that our technicians have, they have been provided with motorcycles to save fares and time since it's much easier to reach the customers traffic wise. They have been given Car Allowance too and have it reimbursed on a monthly basis. This system is pretty much beneficial for both party after weighing the pros and cons of getting one. The driver will be given a fair and accurate data as to their actual costs incurred and proper identification as to when he did use the vehicle for business or personal use. While it will be cost savings on the part of the employer on administrative costs, personal expenses, etc.

Christmas Cards

Waking up in the morning makes it hard for me nowadays, I could now feel the cold breeze that signals that Christmas and holiday season is just around the corner. It's now another time of the year to celebrate Jesus birthday. We've been through a lot these past months, some weren't able to move on yet, but we have to face life's reality and move on.

I am now starting to go over my lists of activities this holiday season, haven't bought any gift yet as I am not done with Gabby's Christmas party preparations because they will be having a little program. I need to get the names of her classmates and teachers as we'll include christmas cards along with the gifts that the little girl will give them. A personalized christmas cards will be nice like the one that I saw from christmascards.uk.com as they have a wide variety of products that you can choose from. Depending on the theme you want, you will definitely find one that will suit your taste from classic to contemporary up to funny Christmas cards. You can even add up photo of you and use your own wordings to give that personal touch. Who says that giving gifts need to be costly?! You can never go wrong doing with the now more high tech way of sending Christmas cards.

On Hosting

>> 10/18/2009

I have been long contemplating if I am going to get hosting plans for my blogs but still skeptical since I still have a limited knowledge on how it works and go round. Still got to study and do some research on this as I don't want to venture on things that I do not know. Been into blogging for more than a year now and I can say that it has given and open up a lot of things on me, being online the entire day led me to this wonderful world of blogging. I remember then how I started, I was browsing the net and so into social networks then and I stumble upon one of blogs I saw while researching on something and got amused and enjoyed reading her updates on her wedding then. The next thing I knew, I was into to it too and entitled mine as "My Life in this Wonderful World" been documenting my activities then on, that's how this blog of mine started. I even set up another two focusing more into my online activities that initially led me into enjoying the online perks. Now, my brother is asking me if I could teach him as he wants to start his own blog. I told him that I will still search about adult web hosting since he wanted to post some adult contents on it because not all hosting companies do not allow one to be posted on their servers.

Nice Catch Jewels

>> 10/11/2009

Holiday season is now coming and I know that it is the perfect time to look for goodies to give your families and friends. I am looking for cheap and affordable items to put on my list but still of quality and beauty of course! something that they will really appreciate and useful too. My niece requested if I could buy her a set of jewelries that she will use for their grand reunion to be held by mid December, I looked around at malls and jewelry shops but I dont think the prices are reasonable for their pieces of jewelries and so I decided to check online and have spotted on jewelry cubic zirconia that I am sure my niece would be giddy about. Will check on her later to show that fashionable jewelry.

Sunday Activity

I should have been relaxed and at ease but my schedule for today was not met since I wasn't able to do the laundry yesterday, I slept very late last night to finish my online tasks but were not able to finish them all and I woke up very early to the do the laundry and went to my parents place before lunch. Got home at around 3 p.m and I really felt so tired and sleepy, took a 1 hour sleep and now I am up to finish another round of household chores. Oh well, I need to iron my office clothes and Gabby's school uniform. I need to sleep early tonight to recharge and be ready for another week of office works! BTW, a relative of DH from YS is inviting us to come over as they have the Las Vegas Show Tickets on hand. OH well, a trip to the US has been a long time dream for us.

Beauty Business

It was December last year when I had my hair rebond. My hair have grown long already and is now shoulder length. But I am thinking twice if I will undergo a treatment this December again because I noticed that my hair has become brittled and dry. Or was it because I never did take any follow up treatment afterward?! like hot oil, etc. Beauty parlor nowadays are sprouting here and there, competition is quite stiff and other special side dishes are being offered like spa, massage therapy. etc. I think it's also a good business nowadays, since there is quite a demand for beauty houses. Oh well, I think I need to make a careful study on this one and enroll in a beauty school houston to know the ins and outs of the beauty set up. Or might as well undergo a training for a beauty specialist.

Relieved!

>> 10/10/2009

Is what we felt after we went to an EENT Specialist this afternoon, Gabby has been long complaining about her left ear. I would sometimes caught her trying to shake her head or insert her finger to her left ear. There was also a foul smell and dark yellow stain on cotton buds whenever I clean her ears after taking a bath. We were so worried that she might be having an ear infection or her ear drums might be broken. But thank Gd that it was not the case when the doctor checked on her ear, Gabby was very cooperative and behave all through the session. She had an impacted cerumen which is a condition in which earwax has become tightly packed in the external ear canal to the point that the canal is blocked.. In short "Nanigas na tutuli" The doctor performed an irrigation, I am happy that she was really very nice and friendly to Gabby. Irrigation process lasted for about 20 minutes or less I think. Oh boy! was really surprised when this little black and thick thingy was removed from her left ear, I just couldn't imagine how it get stucks on her ears. The doctor then careful explained to us how to properly clean her ears

  • clean the ears only twice a week
  • never try to insert the cotton buds deeply into the ears for it is one cause and aggravates an impacted cerumen, which I think is what I am doing while I clean her ears. For the cotton buds will push the earwax to go inside the ear canal.
  • clean/ remove the earwax on the external part of the ear just right outside the ear canal. For the ears naturally has its way on cleaning the internal part.
After the treatment we headed to Robinsons Pioneer to do the grocery, bought Gabby and Nicco their sketch pad and a slippers for Gabby. We left Nicco at home since it will be hard if we'll tag him along to the clinic.

DOCS @ WORK. This clinic is just a stone throw away from home this is located at the Maysilo Circle.

Getting bored already.
P1030317

We didn't bother to take photo anymore while the irrigation process is performed. But this is how it's usually done.

Irrigation is the most common method of removing impacted cerumen. It involves washing out the ear canal with water from a commercial irrigator or a syringe with a catheter attached. Although some doctors use Water Piks to remove cerumen, most do not recommend them because the stream of water is too forceful and may damage the eardrum. The doctor may add a small amount of alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or other antiseptic. The water must be close to body temperature; if it is too cold or too warm, the patient may feel dizzy or nauseated. After the ear has been irrigated, the doctor will apply antibiotic ear drops to protect the ear from infection.

Irrigation should not be used to remove cerumen if the patient's eardrum is ruptured or missing; if the patient has a history of chronic otitis media (inflammation of the middle ear) or a myringotomy (cutting the eardrum to allow fluid to escape from the middle ear); or if the patient has hearing in only one ear.

If irrigation cannot be used or fails to remove the cerumen, the patient is referred to an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist. The specialist can remove the wax with a vacuum device or a curette, which is a small scoop-shaped surgical instrument.

Some doctors prescribe special ear drops, such as Cerumenex, to soften the wax. The most common side effect of Cerumenex is an allergic skin reaction. Over-the-counter wax removal products include Debrox or Murine Ear Drops. A 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide may also be used. These products are less likely to irritate the skin of the ear.

First Quarter Grades

of the little girl is here already!

P1030315

We weren't able to attend the PTA meeting last September 26. As it is the day when typhoon Ondoy came. meeting is held in the morning which also is the day of the distribution of their report card. It was only last Friday when DH got the little girls' grade card. Her grades are ok. If I could afford a reward to a Las Vegas Shows we would definitely give her. ahaha She didn't make to the top ten, but it's fine for as long as she's enjoying her study. But teacher P told DH that Gabby is no longer focus on her studies as she doesn't listen when teacher is lecturing in their class, she would talk to her seatmate while the class is going on. Would just stare and doesn't react when being talked to. I hope that she will cooperate more next time. I already did talk to the little girl and she promised me that she'll be good at behave at school. I hope so! notice her attendance record, she's never been absent during the first quarter and never been late too!

Yesterday

is a busy yet productive day for me at the office. I was able to do all office works in a jiffy. Except for the filing of salary loan of my office mate in SSS. He went to the SSS in the morning to file his loan but electricity was cut due to the rotational brown out in the east part of NCR. And so I was aksed to file it for him since I am the representative in SSS transactions. Went first to UCPB bank to pay our SSS, Philhealth and BIR Tax contributions. Arrived there around 9:30 a.m, the number being served at that time is number 70 and I got my queue number which is number 311. imagine that! I stand for about 15 minutes and was able to sit when a guy offered his seat for me as his number is near to be called. Thank God! It's a good thing that a number of people have left that leaves us a fast pace of transactions. I left the SSS at 12:30 lunch time. But I'm glad that there was no problem with the filing because the last transaction I had with them made be go back at their office for four times. There are many people filing for loan due to typhoon Ondoy, hearing stories while waiting for my number to be called kept me entertained during the 3 hours of waiting game.

Coin Collections

People have different views and opinions, to each is own as they always say. There are also passions that we get involved with, depends on what we believe and feel like doing! Sometimes, we don't really get what other people are doing, it may seem so irrelevant for us but so important for other people. A common hobby or interest lets us create a harmonious relationship with others as it keeps us attach at the same wavelength. Some are into sports, crafts, baking cooking, etc. etc.

A unique hobby that some people do is collecting coins, like that of the morgan dollars, and my Dad is one of them. He's into collecting rare coins since he was young. According to him, his late grandfather gave him an old coin and told him to keep it as a token of remembrance. He kept it and later on developed the likeness and started to collect ones. At first, it seem just a simple hobby for him but as he continues to collect, he did some research about the coins and found out the significant value of those metal thingy. One differs from the other and so the stories of his collections started to grow. He would even travel different places and meet up with some other people with the same interest and common factor doing activities mostly about coins.

One of the recent topics and never ending discussions is about the 2009 Silver Eagle Coins Canceled which resulted to disappointment of the hundreds of coin collectors. Changes like these has a major effect on them of course as we all know how they value their precious collection! For some people who collect coins because of investment purposes are affected with it. Different coins have different value depending on it age and rareness. I think the more old it is, the higher the value appreciates as time passes by, coins that are produced long time ago have a higher substance of gold or silver in it I think, not to mention that it has been around and circulating for quite sometime is considered a part of history of course and The United States Mint is the one responsible in producing an adequate volume of circulating coinage for the nation to conduct its trade and commerce.

Yelling at Kids

I am one guilty parent. There are times that I would loose my temper and yell at Gabby and Nicco, especially when I am really tired from work. At nights when I would put them to sleep and they wouldn't want to and they still wanted to play and I on the other hand really wanted to get some rest and call it a night. Very bad mommy behavior I know! My kids being in the age of exploring, Gabby is 5 years old and Nicco is 3, they would really try to get our attention. But they don't really deserve such kind of response from me, I know being tired, etc is not an excuse to yell. And I am really trying my very best to show them how much I love and care for them.

Children's need:

  • to feel loved
  • to feel secure
  • to feel safe
  • to feel that they are worthwhile
  • to feel caring limits
  • to feel that they can succeed at some things
  • to feel that they can contribute - be helpful
  • opportunities to explore and try new things.

Family influences
  • Some families are loud. It is a pattern in the family to speak loudly or shout and children who are brought up in this atmosphere get used to the noise and are not likely to be harmed by it (unless the yelling is putdowns, or scary).
  • Sometimes children from these families have trouble at school because they have not learned to respond to directions when they are given more softly.
  • If parents shout at children when they are angry the child can feel the parents' anger and it can make children fearful.
  • If parents shout at each other, young children may not understand that they are safe and it can be terrifying, especially if one of the parents leaves or gets upset so the children no longer feel safe in the care of the people they trust to look after them.
  • If parents often criticise each other in front of the child it can endanger the child's security and damage their confidence in themselves - because each parent is part of them as well.
  • If a family is always used to shouting and competing for 'air-space' the children may not learn to be good listeners and to allow others a chance to talk.
Getting in First
  • Shouting can be the result of not being able to set a limit early enough before the child has crossed the line where you can't put up with it anymore.
  • It is important to be able to recognize when you need to stop what is happening before you get to this line.
  • As soon as you feel that this is happening you need to stop whatever you are doing and the children are doing, and do something that will help change the pace eg:
    • sit everyone down and make a drink
    • watch a video
    • read a favourite story or play it on a tape
    • play a favourite, not-too-exciting game
    • get outside eg take everyone for a walk.

Other things parents can do
  • Let children know often that you love them and that you like them and you are proud of them, to make up for the occasional times when you may say damaging things.
  • Let children know that mistakes are important because they are a way of learning.
  • Encourage children to try.
  • Let children know that you value their help.
  • If you are naturally loud and yell a lot explain to your children that that is the way you talk and you are not angry with them.
  • If you are angry with your partner try to sort it out away from the children.
  • If you are angry with the children take a few minutes or as long as you need before you tell them - have cup of coffee, play some music, go for a walk or whatever helps you to calm down.
  • If you do shout, try to make sure you do not say things that are harmful to children or put them down.
  • If you do shout a lot, your children are likely to shout too. They are copying you, not trying to "get at" you.
  • Talk about what you would like rather than blame or threaten - eg "I want you to help me pick up the toys". (See the topic 'Discipline - what is discipline?).
  • Listen to yourself - to what you say and to how you say it.
  • If things are getting on top of you and you are feeling angry a lot of the time, get some support, either from your partner or a good friend or a counselor.
  • Remember that what you do occasionally is not what harms children, it is what goes on most of the time. If most of the time your relationship is good, that is what will count.
