So what do you think on the McCain and Obama clashed over taxes, war and the economy in the first of three debates. The financial crisis shifted the initial focus from foreign to domestic issues.

A Busy Weekend

>> 9/22/2008

It's a Monday and yet I feel it was already Friday evening for I want to spend the rest of my day on a rest and relaxation. I was busy as a bee last weekend. Last Saturday, Ian and I attended PTA meeting at 2 p.m and prior to that I woke up as early as 5:00 a.m to laundry our overflowing pile of clothes and a short trip to grocery at 12:00 noon. The PTA meeting includes discussion of Christmas Programs and election of Officers, thank God I was no longer elected this time! Last year I was the treasurer but hubby was elected as the PRO and the position is just fine for tasks are not complicated. Field trip and distribution of cards are also included. The meeting ended up at 5:00 p.m. By 5:30 Gabby and I were already on our way to the new place of my parents somewhere in Sampaloc and reach the place past 6 p.m already. I was really so tired and exhausted by then. Sunday was spent whole day by cleaning and organizing- fixing the house. Moving up is really hard especially if it's cramming. haay!

Anyway, here's a conversation re: watching your favorite t.v shows.

Thank yo so much Cee!

They all are charmed with the Blogs, wherein the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do Friendship. Then let's try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 Bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.

Goodbye 346 Farnecio St., Quiapo Manila...

>> 9/18/2008

This has been my favorite part of the house in Quiapo, I've lived and basically grew up there. spending 17 years in this house (we moved there when I was 7 till I moved to Mandaluyong at 24 then) just like being in love and broken hearted, one has to leave and moved on... And I remember how it breaks my heart and had this heavy feeling when I first leave then and transferred to Mandaluyong. Now, time has come that my parents will be totally moving out there. No matter how "bulok" it is, still it has created an impact on who I am right now, the memories of our stay there will be forever remembered and cherished. I am a totally "batang Quiapo" So to speak, but not a madurukot huh?! hehehe. I graduated at Quiapo Parochial School. took up elementary and high school, It was run by the Sisters of St. Paul then. I remember that our Principal would always regard us as the Paulinians. Oh diba? and even sings the Paulinian hymn.. "Hark Sons and Daughters of St. Paul." But Quiapo Pachial School has changed its name into the Black Nazarene when something controversial happened after I graduated there and is now handled by the Quiapo church administration and no longer the sisters of St. Paul. Sabi nga nila, Quiapo daw is the counterpart of Tondo. I know, I know... Many stories has been said about Quiapo, the famous movie of late Fernando Poe Jr. and Maricel Soriano. If you want low priced cameras, just look for Hidalgo street near the Quiapo Church and beside the church are those vendors selling herbal medicines.. Oh well, I remember before I was pregnant with gabby, while passing by the quiapo church, one vendor approached me and said " Ma'm CYTOTEC ka? " I was like, "Hellllo??? Mukha ba akong magpapalaglag sa laki ng tiyan ko? was eight mos. pregnant then. Ian couldn't help but laugh out. And the ever famous line whenever you pass by the Muslim area in Barbosa street, "Dibidi, dibidi, dibidi" . And this I will truly miss every year...

" Fiesta alay sa Mahal na Poon ng Nazareno"
But we will still be present there every year in devotion to the black Nazarene... No matter what happens. Quiapo will always be forever in my heart.

lacking on updates

>> 9/11/2008

See why HERE . but something surprising had happened an hour ago here at our office. My boss called me and was asked to follow him at the conference room. Nyay! was so scared to death that am having thoughts that he will reprimand my blogging during office hours and being caught surfing the net. But then, they allowed us to use internet for as long as it doesn't affect our work. The boss asked me " Des after lunch pag-akyat mo, saan ka tumuloy?" I was like, Huh?! I said, pumasok po ng room, nilagay ko yung bote (my water) sa mesa then nagpunta ng banyo para magtoothbrush! he then asked, "anong ginagawa ni J? I said, nagco-computer po. Pagbalik mo ng kwarto, ano ulit ginagawa ni J? nagco-computer po.

After a couple of minutes more, he then called J and I guess was also asked questions and so with K! yup, we were 3 employees at that time. Minutes passed again, He came in and uttered this words to the three of us...

Nyay talaga! as in natense ako. Why oh why!!! 4 na piraso lang kami dito sa office na employee and at the time na nangyari ang "pagkawala" 3 lang kami na nandito. grabeh talaga. Ang hirap magsalita and to point fingers... but my God. sa lahat ng hate ko ay mapagbintangan lalo na when it deals with money! remember my dilemma before HERE? but what is important is that I have my clean conscience and honesty right?! kaso, unfair naman sa walang kasalanan kung di ilagay sa mesa/isoli ang pera. Ang hirap naman siguro magtrabaho if you know the bosses don't trust you anymore di ba?! let's see tomorrow what happens next.....

Gabby's missing tooth

>> 9/08/2008

Last Sunday morning, while we were busy doing some gardening. We suddenly heard Gabby crying out loud. Blood keep on flowing from her mouth, I just thought that she had bitten her lips that's why. But upon asking her to open it, I saw that she had lost her incisor tooth and gums are swollen.

Nahulog daw siya sa upuan and tumama and bibig niya na pakagat sa upuan na kahoy. (She fell on a wood bench and she accidentally bitten it). It was such a hard hit to loose her tooth right?!
I immediately gave her a cold water and gargle it until the blood had subsided. Gave her paracetamol for pain reliever and comforted her till she fall asleep. I really pity her. Ang sakit kay mabunutan ng ngipin ng walang anesthesia noh?! Upon waking up, she immediately asked me if the tooth will grow back again. I said yes and asked her not to be too malikot!

Lesson learned:
Ang batang malikot ay nabubungi ang ngipin! (A naughty and clumsy kid looses her tooth!)

She even told me "Mama, kapag sinabi mo na wag malikot, Hindi na ako maglilikot saka makikinig palagi sa'yo. Oh well, let's see...

After 3 hours....

She was busy again running around the house with Nicco! Oh kids!!!!

Spreading the Christmas Spirit Tag

>> 9/04/2008

Thanks for this one Cee! Christmas gives us always this different feeling of being "high" in spirit.

It's so simple. Copy the photo below then write your Blog and your wish for this Christmas 2008. Your wish has to be something PRICELESS and SELF-LESS .... something that money can't buy .... something that another person will treasure dearly.

1. Bits and Pieces by Jan: I wish Gino and I will be able to convince friends to help us sponsor a simple Christmas party for the children of White Cross Children's Home in San Juan.

2. The Wifey Diaries by Jannesse: My birthday falls on the 22nd of December. I have always wished to spend it with orphaned or abandoned kids. I'd be super happy to spend my birthday with them. That way, they get early Christmas presents from me. Oh, and can I wish for a baby, too? Please?

3. The Versoza Inc. by Con: I'd like to have a simple Christmas party for all the children of our employees. Times were hard on our company this 2007, but still, the Christmas Spirit should not be overpowered by it. Christmas is about family. So our Christmas party should not be for employees only, but for their families as well. Also, I wish our clan would make it a tradition to have a Christmas gift giving project. My Tita Doi started it last year with the Antipolo church children. I am looking forward to this year :)

4.Jengspeaks by Jeng: Every Christmas time, our group Friends Empowered to Serve would solicit money, clothes, food, etc. to give to our chosen charities such as Anawim, PGH Chilrdren's ward and the street children of Manila. This year, we hope to be able to give more and add the families along the pier in our list of recipients. We also want to give the children there a simple Christmas party with food, games and gifts.

5. God's best gift by Rocks : Every December we have christmas party for our "children of hope" ministry, this year we will do it again, and my wish is beside the games and the food, I wish we could give the family of each kid a grocery bag, something they can cook for christmas eve, hoping we could get more sponsors so we can give them that.

6. Living A' La Mode by Cee: To commit myself to giving a regular donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I am praying that i can be able to finally make this happen soon. Christmas Time would be a great choice to start it don't you think?

7. My Life in this Wonderful World: I wish that I will be able to give my children's wish come true now that Gabby is 4 and already knew what this special season means. And be able to give a something special gift to my mom, who never fails to be there for me most especially during those times when I really need someone strong to rely on!

how about you Mai, Wheng and Mich?

My Wish and My Mom

>> 9/01/2008

Got a call from my mother 5 minutes ago . I felt so nervous upon hearing her sobs from the other line... I thought something terrible happened, My mother is so emotional at even the slightest things happening, most especially on problems. The conversation goes:

Nanay (Mom): Hello des?!
Me : O' bakit? anong nangyari?
( Oh why? what happened?)
(I called up Ian, and borrowed 2,500 pesos from him to pay L's tuition fee. I don't really have money now, I asked D to go to your brother to borrow for the payment of electricity bill. Will Ian lend me?)
Me : Oo sige, ipakuha mo na lang pera para makabayad ng tuition si L.
(Yes, ok! just ask L to get the money to pay her tuition fee.)
Nanay: 2,500 hiram ko hindi 250 ha?!
(I am borrowing 2,500 pesos and not 250 pesos huh?! )
Me : Ok.

LOL! Si nanay talaga komedyante.
(LOL! she knew as well that I don't have enough savings that's why she's confirming if i have the needed amount)

Good thing that I was able to withdraw my earnings from paid blogging last week, I have been saving up to buy something I am really longing for to have. Actually, we were just waiting for my *wish* to arrive anytime since Saturday, but for some reasons I don't know and I don't understand up until my mom's call "It" didn't came. And in situations like these, I am willing to give up my *wish* and chose the "real" thing. After all, she's my mother! right?!

Though I'm still keeping my fingers crossed to get hold of that *wish* I'm longing to have. LOL! It is so dear to me that I know I still have 114 days for him to give and deliver it to me

hope that bulk contains one of my *wish* LOL.

Weekend Happenings

We went to Quiapo (Mom's place) yesterday to celebrate my mothers birthday which actually falls last Thursday, August 28. We had a sumptuous lunch courtesy of my big bro's budget. tehee. We had pansit malabon, Spaghetti and pichi-pichi from Amber's Restaurant. Will upload and share the photos this week.

It was freakin' hot yesterday, good thing we were just in time when we reached Mandaluyong because it rained so hard. Maybe it was the reason why Nicco had his fever that night. I got awaken by his hot body temperature when he hugged me unconsciously while he was sleeping. I immediately gave him a 5ml dosage of the ever reliable Tempra syrup. After 5 minutes, when i checked on his temperature the fever is gone. He was all smiles when he woke up this morning as if nothing happened last night.
