Relaxed

>> 10/24/2008

.........Finally!

After a couple of days cramming reviews for Gabby's 2nd quarter exams, I am now stress free! hee. With so many things on my hand and little time to accomplish things, I am now relaxed since the little girl will take a 10 days vacation from school. haah. This means waking time will be 6 a.m and I can have more "me" time in the morning! I'm so glad that Gabby is very cooperative as she answer all the reviewers that I made for her. I just hope that she'll make it up this time! Next week is Hubby's birthday, I'm still thinking of what gift to give him this time since I don't have enough budget yet for the bracelet that he likes. besides, we'll be having events and activities to attend to this Halloween and we will be very busy for sure!

Investing Money Wisely

With the current economic situation our country is facing, the husband and I see to it that the money we've earned are being spent wisely and is trying our best to make ends meet. There are many easy to get rich programs that are out in the market but we need to be careful in choosing the best pit in which we will be putting on our hard earned money!

We've decided to seek help from a forex trader, since we want to get some information and learn things on how does forex trading works. For we must be sure that we are on track and will not be fooled out by some people. Seeking professional help is definitely a great move if you want to be sure that you are in good hands especially if it entails hard earned money.

I hope Santa won't forget to include THESE on that long lists of gifts to be delivered on Christmas day. hee.

Meanwhile, I have been thinking of what gifts to give Nicco since Gabby will be having her laptop toy this christmas. Nicco is fond of playing cars and balls. But I saw a robot toy which is I think will make him happy and surely be amused of the features that this robot toy can do! As for the husband, I knew he loves to have a bracelet or new necklace, a new running shoes will do too! well, we'll see what will the budget permits me to buy for them. hahaha, just hope that christmas bonus will be released early so that I will have more time to go around and find affordable goodies too for my friends and god children. Christmas season comes only once in a year and the only time where we can truly enjoy and felt the spirit of giving.

On My Eyeglasses

The last time I went to my Optometrist to have an eye check up was a year ago, and I think I need to go back since I think that my grade is no longer suitable for my eyesight now, and this means I need to have my eyeglasses replaced once again.

But my eyes grade are too high which requires me to have an ultra thin glasses. Choosing the right frame and the right grade would definitely require a costly budget since I don't want to have that nerdy look on me if I chose those ordinary lenses in the market. Least to say that most are not as dependable compared with the branded products quality and performance wise. But I have read an article on Chicago Tribune HERE which catches my attention on choosing my prescription glasses.

On a minimal budget I have now, I am so surprised and happy as well as I searched for cheap but quality eyeglasses on the net. Good thing that zenni optical has a huge selection of prescription eyeglasses products at a very low prices. And I am so glad that they have a variety of fashionable and funky frames that I can choose from. This means that I can save and even buy more since their shipping and handling charge is 4.95 regardless of how many a consumer will buy and you got a very nice quality glasses for $8.

Wireless Router

>> 10/16/2008

We were thinking of buying a laptop instead of a desktop computer since I am more comfortable using it. Needless to say that it is more mobile and always on the go! That is my main reason since I blog a lot :) And besides, hubby's niece is using a desktop already and we we're just thinking of having a shared internet connection with them all we need is a dependable wireless router so that I can move around the house comfortably as I hate strangling cables that are attached around the notebook which I think is accident prone right?!

We are using a Linksys router here at our office and so far, we've never encountered any problems with it. But I will still have to search other products and compare and see what fits our budget and is dependable too.

For the meantime, I might take along the laptop with me all the time since our office's location here at Gilmore is Wi-fi zone. And I can blog during my free time even at the nearby cafeteria. Wireless network here is not a problem because almost every store here is wi-fi zone and you can get the best deals on computer products.

...............Are some people so insensitive?

I don't blame other people if I am having a hard time doing things on my own and if I think situation is getting unfair, I speak up my mind and let the person knew how I feel. I won't leave someone puzzled as to why am I acting a certain attitude. We're not on a guessing game show here and it's like someone's here playing a charade... well, what can I do? I just hate the feeling of indifference and I'm a transparent person. I don't hide feelings most especially if it's my pride at stake... haay, I hate doing negative bloggeries here.. but I need to release my tensions for me to move on... I am living to a standard of not minding other people's business. I know, "To each his own" but it's just so sad that I get affected by others moods' swings...

Hope you're in good mood to join in these conversations:

Sickies in the family

>> 10/13/2008

Last Saturday night the little girl had a fever out of the blue, I don't know if she got it from Ella who is sick for quite sometime now. Nicco on the other hand had his cough and is having slight fever too. Gabby is having her summative test this week. We didn't get to have a thorough review of her lessons since she complains that she gets dizzy and her head is aching. and with that I wasn't able to upload photos which I am about to use for my bloggeries this week. Maybe I could squeeze doing this in between my busy schedule. And I do hope that I may be able to post some quality personal bloggeries and could grab enough opps too this week as Christmas is fast approaching! :)

Maybe you could find time to answer this conversations too! hee.

Some Thoughts On Marriage

>> 10/09/2008

I got this email long time ago, pardon me 'cause I forgot the source. but this knocks some senses on everyone who is having thoughts on getting married

The truly lucky people are the ones who manage to become long-time friends before they realize they are attracted to each other. They get to know each other's laughs, passions, sadness, and fears. They see each other at their worst and at their best. They share time together before they get swept into the entangling intimacy of their sexuality. This is the ideal, but not often possible. If you fall under the spell your sexual attraction immediately, you need to look beyond it for other keys to compatibility.

One of these is laughter. Laughter tells you how much you will enjoy each other's company over the long term. If your laughter together is good and healthy, and not at the expense of others, then you have a healthy relationship to the world. Laughter is the child of surprise. And if you can always surprise each other, you can always keep the world around you new. Beware of a relationship in which there is no laughter. Even the If you can make each other laugh, you can always surprise each other.most intimate relationships based only on seriousness have a tendency to turn sour.

Over time, sharing a common serious viewpoint on the world tends to turn you against those who do not share the same viewpoint, and your relationship can become based on being critical together After laughter, look for a partner who deals with the world in a way you respect. When two people first get together, they tend to see their relationship as existing only in the space between the two of them. They find each other endlessly fascinating, and the overwhelming power of the emotions they are sharing obscures the outside world. As the relationship ages and grows, the outside world becomes important again.

If your partner treats people or circumstances in a way you can't accept, you will inevitably come to grief. Look at the way she cares for others and deals with the daily affairs of life. If that makes you love her more, your love will grow. If it does not, be careful. If you do not respect the way you each deal with the world around you, eventually the two of you will not respect each other.

On Health Issues

My mom being sick led me thinking of going into a medical assistant school to expand my knowledge more into this field of science. looking over one's health requires a much needed information on taking care of our loved ones. "Health is wealth"is what we always hear every time we talk about sickness and medical condition.

I am a working mom too, and so I have to juggle my time between my family and work. Managing my time is essential so I have to be productive in multi-tasking. This doesn't keep me off to my desire of becoming a medical assistant. Good thing I have found The St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants, a medical assistant school online that makes use of innovative distance education technology and helps us provide one of the most affordable medical assistant programs available anywhere! Their team of consulting educators, physicians, nurses and other health care provides are always available to assist you in your online studies.

Becoming a medical assistant is convenient for someone as busy as me because their program will allow you to study online at your own pace and convenience. Most students complete the program in about 6-8 weeks. But can take as long as needed and there are no deadline or time limit. Meaning, there will be no cramming whatsoever. Another good point about them is that they are nationally accredited, convenient and affordable online distance education program. So check out their site to learn more.

Thank You!

I've spent my weekend on the hospital with my mother. The reason why she was confined is due to high blood and diabetes. I forgot how high was her blood pressure, but her sugar level raised up to 497.6. Oh my! good thing she did not faint and the doctor said that she was almost near to get a mild stroke. She's in a stable condition now. Our kuya, the panganay was the one who financed all her hospital bills and expenses. My niece and nanay's panganay na apo , is the one who took care of her and her bantay all night and day! grabe, hindi ko kinaya ang puyat at pagod last friday. but we will do everything for a mom. My mother was kinda emotional, especially she knew all along that the longer you stay at the hospital, the higher your bill is going up. All we could do is divert her attention to avoid complications on her health. Sa panahon ngayon, talagang bawal ang magkasakit! I hate seeing heart breaking scenes whenever I go to a hospital, which I did saw since my mom was there. Health is really wealth! that's all I can say... BTW, I would like to thank everyone who left a message of concern and prayers for me and my mother. It really means a lot. Thanks :)

Dealing with my problems

>> 10/03/2008

And so I thought that I am having a great week ahead of me.well, I was wrong! even the item that I've been longing for to have is giving me a lot of headache and so I give up on that already. Maybe it wasn't really for me. I was bombarded with lots of problems that I thought I am going to loose my senses. Crying is the only way for me to release the heavy loads inside me. Good thing I have my children who keeps my senses and is a great source of my strength and inspiration aside from frequent conversations with the dear lord. Oh yes, what a marvelous way of unloading the burden by just having a deep prayer.

  • I pray for god's enlightenment towards Ian's decisions. Please do guide him always and let him see things in a lighter and brighter point of view, take away the hatred he has in his heart. may he be able to forgive others and learn to accept the reality and be more considerate to other's feelings and condition.
  • I pray for my children's health and for them to be always safe and away from harm. and I thank God that they are growing up well.
  • I pray for my mother's condition now, my sister called me up last night she was chilling and vomiting before she was rushed to the hospital. Will have to check on her later after office, since I need to wait for my salary today to be released. Oh poor me.. :(
  • I pray for God's strength for me to hang on and be able to face life's challenges.

On a lighter note, this has article has helped me a lot.

DEALING WITH PROBLEMS

When cornered by problems, lost in the dark abyss where nothing seems to help, there is still a way out. For problems may not be in our hands, but handling them skillfully is. Here are some tips for effective problem solving from a Tibetan master
Saints, philosophers, achievers all agree that problems enrich life as much as victories and happiness. What is important is to not let them intimidate you, and develop the skill to use them to empower the self. There are many ways to do this, ways that help you overcome your worst fears and problems. Some are suggested by Tulku Thondup, an adept of the Nyingma branch of Tibetan Buddhism, in his book The Healing Power of Mind.

AVOID
An important thing about problems is to try and avoid them if they seem mild or temporary.

Says Tulku: ‘‘If we don‘t mind these problems, they will go away.‘‘ When you are not ready to face problems, it is best to avoid them. Only when you know you have the mental strength should you try to resolve the problem or release it through meditation.

On the other hand, if you are one of those whose minds are strong and who have a great deal of pride, it would be helpful to feel deeply the pain brought by the problem. This will help get rid of some of the pride by facilitating a connection with the very core of life, thereby focusing attention in the right direction.

RECOGNIZE AND ACCEPT

Recognizing and accepting one‘s problems in the right spirit is imperative to begin the process of healing. While some problems are evidently unimportant, others need to be faced in their totality. It often becomes a habit with us to push away problems that seem insurmountable, forgetting that they will reappear, maybe in a more destructive form. Identifying a problem clearly is the first step to dealing with it. If committed to solving it, each problem will appear easier to deal with and it is possible that those that we thought permanent and irresolvable will vanish.

FIND THE SOURCE

Now that you have the right attitude, it is time to begin the process of dealing with your problem. Begin with trying to find the source. To understand the problem, sit in a comfortable, quiet place that affords few distractions. Relax your body and quieten your mind. Breathe deeply, and imagine all your worries being released with the out-breath. Feel peaceful, clear and spacious. Allow yourself to be in that peace for a while. Then slowly, look at the problem you are facing. See it and also feel it. Acknowledge its presence.

Tulku Thondup also suggests retracing one‘s steps and going back in memory. Think of how the problem may have begun. Go back to the earliest possible time, place and source of the pain. See the possible shape, color, temperature and location of that place. As we begin contemplating the causes and feeling them, our healing has begun.

FEEL THE PROBLEM

See your problems objectively without pre-labeling them as negative. If you feel sad or wronged, even small issues could seem big. While healing, no emotion needs to be denied. Allow your feelings to surface so that they can be released. If there is emotional pain, it indicates the impact this shake-up is having on you. So it is good to cry as it releases mental stress, physical pressure and chemical toxins that build up when we hold back pain. Express naturally and frankly without grasping, hiding or defending the pain. Allowing grief its natural space to heal will finally lead to it running its course, says Tulku.

CHANGE PERCEPTIONS

Constantly dwelling upon a situation will make you suffer. Seeing a problem as negative, constantly thinking and talking about its severity makes even small hurdles seem insurmountable. Despite everything, remember to be gentle with yourself.

All this is about perceptions then. Avoid disharmonious words. When you generate strong positive energy, it can help cease, or at least ease suffering. Make friends with problems. When difficult emotions come, you can ask them what they want. You may need to relax and stop grasping, to take better care of yourself and recognize your true needs, or to change your behavior.

CLEAR MENTAL GARBAGE

A major goal of spiritual practice is to clear our minds of the intellectual and emotional garbage we have collected since childhood, so that we can provide space for true relaxation and enjoyment. Tulku warns that while positive thoughts become nourishment for the mind, negative views and passions have toxic effects. It is important to make a determined effort not to let our mind dwell on problems as negative. Occupy your mind with something else-reading, gardening, or painting. They are often the anchors that see people through their problems.

When feeling overwhelmed by sadness or loneliness, you can merge in the openness of the sadness. Allow your breathing to become relaxed. Instead of trying to push the sadness away, or labeling it as `bad‘, stay where you are mentally, open but calm. Feel your sadness without grasping or judging, just as it is. Relax and merge with the feeling, lose yourself in it, space into space.

FIGHT PHOBIAS

In the case of phobias, the problem is fear of fear, the tightening grip of the mind that magnifies and multiplies an original fear until the mouth dries up, the throat closes, and the body shakes. Under such circumstances, meditations and positive visualizations can help. Welcome the fear. Relax your body and breathing, and allow the fear to rise up. Experience it; try to be open to it. If the body shakes, allow it, let go of the wish to push this away, but at the same time maintain relaxed breathing.
